The Masons

No, they are not a secret society. Toronto pop/rock band THE MASONS, whose singer appeared on The Boomtang Boys gold-selling album, Greatest Hits Vol.1, has released its sophomore album, Brick And Mortar, preceded by the funky crush of the first single, “Kiss ‘n Tell” which was added at more than 20 Canadian AC radio stations, and played on the American television show "Side Order of Life" (Warner/Lifetime, 08/26/2007). They have also been 1 (July-Sept 2007) on the pop chart at, and have had several of their songs played on the dating show called 'Next' on MTV (US). BBC Radio has played their international collaboration with Ca$mir (U.S.) and Shelly Noon (U.K.) called 'Better This Way'. Brothers Devin and Craig Mason have been writing, producing and performing together for 10 years, and have made 5 studio albums as a team. The brothers, who grew up in Dutton, Ontario, but now reside in Toronto, founded and played in the pop bands The Masons and Channel 61 in Toronto, both of which received rave reviews from music critics across Canada. Later, when they temporarily worked apart, both had success: while Devin was receiving a gold record for his vocal efforts on THE BOOMTANG BOYS Greatest Hits Vol. 1., his brother Craig was using his guitar chops in a band for rapper/singer SNOW while doing Toronto promotion for his album Mind on the Moon. Craig has played on MuchMusic, Canada AM and many times on City TV's Breakfast Television, while Devin has opened for such greats as Destiny's Child and Jeff Healey in venues as diverse as Roy Thompson Hall, Canada's Wonderland, The Calgary Stampede, and Ontario Place. Both have played on Global Television and CHCH TV together, and performed on The Mike Bullard Show, although separately. But they have since joined forces again and returned toThe Masons--- back to their pop/rock roots. With an emphasis on song writing and musicianship, the brothers masterfully craft songs with powerful hooks and melodic integrity. Devin and Craig believe that every part of a song should be able to stand alone as a hook... right down to the bass line. Through many years of hard work, The Mason brothers have created a crisp, clean, exciting sound that will have universal appeal. It is a case of 'for the people, by the people'--and there should be nothing secret about it. ..
