Biography

Mike Falcone was a Tenor & Soprano Saxophonist, Clarinetist, Flautist and Composer, who was born and raised Philadelphia. After graduating from West Chester University in 1970, he joined the Glenn Miller Orchestra under the direction of Buddy DeFranco for 4 years. He was the primary figure in the Chester County Jazz scene from 1976-1996. He worked with his own bands at La Cocotte, The Bar and Restaurant and Vincent's in West Chester and the Marshallton Inn in Marshallton. He has played with musicians such as Ron Thomas, Paul Klinefelter, Glenn Ferracone, Larry McKenna, Don Glanden, Ward Marston, Chico Huff, Jim Zoller, Tony Vigilanti, Eddie Green, Gerald Veasley, Rocco Bene, Mike Richmond, Sonny Troy, Dave Posmontier, Rich Posmontier, Andy McKee, Tom Cohen, Peter Paulsen, Al "Stumpy" Russell, Trudy Pitts, Tyrell Stafford, Jaco Pastorius, Jack Pastorius, Michael Pedicin, Tony Branco, Jim Holton, Mike Byrne, Richard Burton, Jim Sullivan, Lee Southall, Jim Leventus, John Vanore, Mark DeCozio and Bobby Fanelli. He worked for many years in pit orchestras at the Valley Forge Music Fair, Palumbo's and the Emerald Ballroom with artists such as Frank Sinatra, Rodney Dangerfield, Al Martino and Peter Allen. He played in New York, Atlantic City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. .
