BIOGRAPHY
Raised in the back woods of Mississippi, the two members of The Nappy Whigs grew up working at their grandparent's Juke Joint. During the rise of the Dirty South movement in the late 90s several aspiring rap artist made their way onto the stage of the juke joint, and the two cousins got a good look at what they wanted to do for their living. In their formal high school years they were notorious for rap battling and embarrassing any MC that would step up to the challenge. The two were known to be the best rappers around which, in turn, lead to the brutal rap battle that turned them against one another and separated them for years. Once returning from the military and playing college football the two cousins reunited upon receipt of news that the family juke joint was bankrupt. In effort to raise money for the family they turned to what they new best, dropped their pride, and started the band, The Nappy Whigs. With their Dirty South roots, musical talent, and witty lyrics, The Nappy Whigs hope to become a household name while rebuilding the household they grew up in. Due to their lack of resources they will be releasing their album single by single so purchase them as they are released to be a true part of the rise of The Nappy Whigs.
