I would like to say that the NonRefundables are intergalactic rock aliens who landed on the planet earth to teach humans how to party. But it's a complete lie. The truth is really more depressing. While we look like a group of slightly overwieght frat boys, I'll just have to come clean with the public. The NonRefundables are a band of former traveling mercenaries from the continent of Africa-"Dogs of War" if you will. We have done things that we are not proud of... most notably providing security for Queen at Sun City back in '86. That is all in the past now thanks to the "Guitars for Guns" program implemented by the Clinton Administration in 1997. Under the program, former war criminals are given a 2nd chance at life; as D grade local musicians trained by only the best of washed up pop stars (Kevin DuBrow personally taught the band how to wail like 12 year old girls and kick in unison). In addition to touring the great Wyoming Valley, the NonRefundables are most currently taking classes in dramatic E chord sustain.
But I digress...
The NonRefundables formed in late 2004 with the goal of providing Northeastern Pennsylvania with fun, home-grown, original music. The band has been touring Northeast Pennsylvania regularly at some of the most popular local venues. After more than a few years of steady shows, The NonRefundables have cut their teeth and are ready to expand to larger markets in Northeastern U.S. Their style of original music ranges from pop-rock party music to tongue-in-cheek rockabilly with a focus on the irreverent, refusing to limit themselves to one specific sound. Over the years, The NonRefundables have built up a small library of top notch original music. In December 2008, they released their most versatile release yet, "Give Up, Give In", which showcases some of their best previous work, reworked & polished, with the addition of brand new songs. The NonRefundables also appear on the nationally circulated compilation, Copper Press (#28).
