What is the point of 'The Peppermoths'? Who knows, in the ravages of time probably nowt, but to it's members, an outlet, a voice in which to attempt to counteract- in some minute way- the doctrine that Socialism, as a valid political and economic theory is impotent. For starters, by educating people that Socialists do not want to prevent people from making money, but expect those who do, to contribute to the Society that helps them earn that money.
Things have changed since the band formed. The bubble has burst, but people seem to be in denial, acting as if nothing has happened. There is not enough being done to right the inequalities created over the previous three decades- the haves are still getting richer at the expense of the have nots.
