With a unique blend of old and new riffs, The Republik has given birth to a classic yet funky rock nouveau sound that combines a little bit of
R.E.M., Modest Mouse, System of a Down, Tool, and a heap of Dave Matthews.
Since forming in 2006, these four classically trained boyhood buddies have captivated audiences in a multitude of venues where they delivered the opening performance for such notable acts as Buddy Guy, Los Lonely Boys, and Foghat.
Their every performance commands the stage and draws the excitement of the crowd resulting in every one wanting to stay for ‘just one more.’
The Republik released their first original CD, “Last Chance Planet,” in 2007 and their second album entitled, “The Unexpected Answer,” was released in 2010 by producer Mark Loren. Their third CD, “We are the Wild Things,” was produced by Brian Viglione, drummer of The Dresden Dolls, in 2012.
Viglione summed up his experience by saying that he, “loved working with the band and was so pleased not only by the outcome, but by the quality of the whole process. You guys were an absolute pleasure to work with not only due to your ability to work hard and focus in, but also enjoy the experience and fun of the studio and try out new ideas.”
Currently, they are continuing their music education while performing at various local and state venues, and being heard through many various mediums across the world.
