The Robert Bosscher Quartet

In August 2006 Robert moves to New York City to study with Kenny Barron and Jason Moran at the Manhattan School of Music. He writes many compositions for his jazz band and for string ensemble. Robert's involvement with the New York opera scene and studies with the great classical pianist Phillip Kawin, have a great influence on Robert´s musical perspective.

June 2008: Robert graduates for his Master Degree at the Manhattan School of Music. In November 2008 Robert has his first performance at The Blue Note, quickly followed by performances at the Cutting Room, the Zinc Bar and Bird-land.

2009: In January, February and March 2009, Robert has a solo gig at the Plaza Hotel, where he meets Paul Mccartney who gives Robert a double thumbs-up for his performance of songs from the Beatles repertoire.

2010: Robert forms duo with well-established New York City guitarist Ron Jackson (Wynton Marsalis, Dee Dee Bridgewater). They perform at several iconic jazz clubs.

2011: Robert performs with his band at the Zinc Bar during jazz festival 5 Dutch Days.

2012: Robert gives several performances for Life Beat (Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Nicky Minaj), an organization fighting HIV. Robert performs for Triskeles.

On February 17 2012 Robert wins The Suggested Artist Placement Award Song of the Year songwriting contest.

June 16th 2012 Robert performs with Phaedra Kwant at royal wedding of Dutch princess Carolina and Albert Brenninkmeijer in the church of San Miniato al Monte in the Italian city of Florence

After Robert has finished writing the music for the Album, Joris Teepe and Robert start a group with world-famous musicians, including Mark Turner (Fly) on saxophone, Billy Hart (Herbie Hancock) on drums and Scott Wendholt (Village Vanguard Big-Band) on trumpet.
The Album material is performed for the first time on April 30, 2012 in Harlem at the Manhattan School of Music.
For the album cover Robert works with Landrew Gomes, graphic-designer,
photographer of The Daily News. The Album entitled “Multiple Vieuws” is released January 16 2013
