The Shakers

The Shakers came to life in 2009 when Jodie Schell and Chris Lee were introduced to each other at the legendary Viper Room on the sunset strip. Jodie Schell had been in the Los Angeles scene in various bands and had been looking for a new creative outlet. Fresh off the plane from Philadelphia, Chris Lee had no idea at the time that his first visit to The Viper Room would be so fortuitous. Over the next few weeks the two began a musical courtship that would create a unique blend of styles and writing that both had been longing for. They almost immediately began looking for a rhythm section that would compliment their emotional and dynamic sense of music. Before long Brad Lee would fall in on bass and Nick Woods would step in on drums. It wasn't long before they were traveling back to Chris Lee's old musical stomping grounds in the city of Philadelphia, NYC and NJ to sold out crowds and radio air play. The Shakers high energy live shows became a staple in the Los Angeles music scene and they began infiltrating the surrounding cities of Pasadena, San Diego, Venutra, Huntington Beach and anywhere that needed a musical wake up call. Their first EP is an eclectic balance of raw and powerful rock and roll, with a dynamically soulful dash of bluesy funk. The band immediately began turning heads and getting industry interest and continues to evolve and grow musically at an alarming rate. For more information and live performance information go to
