You guys now know the Shields Brothers from their adventure with CeeLo Green on NBC’s Emmy-nominated The Voice Season 2. They brought real Rock & Roll to prime time TV. The massive outpouring of support and new fans got them trending worldwide on Twitter, written up in Rolling Stone magazine and all the major entertainment outlets and high praise from Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and, of course, their coach Cee Lo Green. Their tagline on the Voice: Punching America in the face with Rock & Roll!
The next big adventure, which got them written up in Forbes, was their Kickstarter project. They crowd-sourced the financing for their first full length album via Kickstarter. Enormous support from their fans gave them 236% of their goal.
In July, 2012, the Shields Brothers signed with Potomac Records, a Washington, DC region record label. They are working with Pete Evick, music director and guitarist for the Bret Michaels Band to produce their Kickstarter album. Also, you'll hear them doing backing vocals on Bret Michaels' Get Your Rock On album. Listen for them on the classic Poison hit, "Nothin But a Good Time," and on "Unskinny Bop."
