Biography

Composer/guitarist Steve Girardi has been performing his original music in the New York metropolitan area for over 2 decades. His unique sound challenges the traditional boundaries of contemporary jazz. His critically acclaimed talents on both the acoustic and electric guitar result in a rich ethereal fusion of musical genres. Steve has recorded two original CD’s. His first was the critically acclaimed trio recording Within Inside released in 2002. Steve’s latest release titled Blue Sky With Tears features The Steve Girardi Project, which brings together the extraordinary talents of Greg “Cosmo D’ Heffernan on cello, Mark Graham on drums, world renowned bassist Mike Richmond, Ron Clearfield on cello, Andy Lalasis on bass, Bob Shomo on drums and Greg Federico on percussion to create a unique, compelling modern jazz experience.
