Biography

The Swagger Sticks were born in a Hollywood Hills garage in 2007. Competing with carbon monoxide from his roommates car and a gaggle of sneering neighbors, Aron Gibson wrote and recorded all the songs, while initially playing all the instruments as well. Gibson had all but quit music until a chance appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in 2005 when he sang a snippet of Night Ranger’s power ballad, “Sister Christian” with comedian Stuttering John. The band’s first EP, Stick it!, draws on classic ‘77 punk, power pop and indie rock influences.
