THE WHITE OAKS sing songs about life, death, love, dreams, god, the sea, and the end of the world. The four members have played music all their lives, together or separately. The first five songs on this double ep come from their self-titled 2007 debut, and the last six are from 2008's "The Alchemist's Apprentice". THE WHITE OAKS have been profiled on "Tapestry," a Birmingham arts and culture radio program, as well as in the City Scene magazine in the Birmingham News, and songs from their self-titled e.p. have been featured on Birmingham's own nationally syndicated radio show, Reg's Coffeehouse. The band recently collaborated on a short film with L.C. Crowley, "The Wheat and the Tares", which was accepted into the Sidewalk Film Festival.
