Simon Meli is your quintessential rock ‘n' roller. His love of 70's rock is evident in both his look and sound - he takes his cue from Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes and Lenny Kravitz. He has been performing professionally for more than 10 years, and tours regularly with his band ‘Widowbirds’. Eager to appear on The Voice, Simon interrupted his bands tour and flew 30 hours from Stockholm especially for The Voice audition.
He grew up as one of eight children, in a large family in Sydney’s Western Suburbs surrounded by music. He now lives in the inner-west with his rock n’ roll loving wife. Despite his busy music life, he still holds down a full time day job as a graphic designer.
The Live Finals was a chance for the token 'White Dude Dancer' to give it his all again Simon said. "It was an awesome performance, I put everything I could into it and loved every minute of being on that stage." Simonsung Sympathy For The Devil by The Rolling Stone which is a song Simon described as 'a lot of business'. His Coach said he killed the performance while Joel Madden said 'If that's where the party is, I want to go." Simon now goes up for public vote on Team Ricky. If you want to see him stay, make your vote count.
Simon made it through, in fine fashion, to the 2nd (of 3) live finals.
