Three Day Threshold are part country, part bluegrass, a little blues and rockabilly, and a whole lot of pure energy mixed together. If a bluegrass band had a volume knob that was turned up to overdrive, it would be 3DT. They've played with all kinds of bands like Zac Brown Band, Avett Brothers, Social Distortion, Amanda Palmer, Montgomery Gentry, Drive By Truckers and Tommy Stintson. The band has garnered more accolades than can fit on a page; among them was winning several Boston Magazine's "Best Local Band" as well as several Boston Music Awards. 3DT even took home the crown of Boston’s "Best Live Band" from The Noise Magazine.
Three Day Threshold’s music has been featured in a multitude of TV show soundtracks and has taken the band all over the globe; from a stint on the Warped Tour to a Johnny Cash style gig at a Belgian prison; a New Years Eve rave in The Netherlands to a concert in an airplane hangar at a US military base in Honduras on the 4th of July, as well as thousands of other shows in between. Three Day Threshold has played to dozens of colleges in the Northeast including Berklee College, Babson College, Wheaton College, College of the Holy Cross, Emerson College, Tufts University, Massachusetts College of Art, Wellesley College Student Elections, MIT’s Sloan Spring Weekend, Northeastern University’s Welcome Back Weekend and Boston University’s Spring Weekend.
"Three Day Threshold could be the soundtrack to a shotgun wedding, a tractor pull or an afterhours rockabilly prom, but most of all it's a show not to be missed." - The Weekly Dig
“Boston’s Three Day Threshold has a felicitously original sound. Combining the best of The Rolling Stones, The Pogues, Little Feat and Johnny Cash, Three Day Threshold gets juiced up… 3DT’s songs are energetic, loud and crafted with terrific hooks”
