Tim Guion is a self-taught composer of Organic Instrumental and ambient music for relaxation and daydreaming.
Tim began teaching himself to play the piano at age 5 and wrote his first "song" at age 8. Tim's music is the culmination of decades of exploration without formal musical training or the ability to read or write musical notation. Each unique piece is a journey through musical expression created 100% by ear.
Although music has always played a significant part in Tim's life, it was not until early 2007 that he made the decision to make it his primary focus by embarking on one of the most ambitious life projects to date--self-producing his debut album.
In January 2008, G-ography became commercially available on CD Baby & iTunes and several other digital and "brick & mortar" outlets. G-ography has sold on 3 continents and songs have been featured on Indie web-based radio stations.
With the release of his new CD as encouragement, in March of 2008 Tim completed his first original score for the independent short film Two Spirits, One Journey which has won critical acclaim at many international film festivals, including Outfest in Los Angeles.
Tim's latest collection of work E=m_otion, became commercially available in April, 2010. This album delves deeper into the human condition by exploring perpetual energy, feeling and movement and represents a new sound for me that he calls "Organic Instrumental."
Born in Sonoma County, CA, Tim is now inspired by Prague, Czech Republic, where he currently works from his home studio.
