TheMightyOne was created by Tim Steinruck in 2008. Tim is a veteran songwriter, musician and performer. He moved to Vancouver shortly after graduation to pursue a professional music career, from foundations which were built at an early age in northern BC, Canada.
In Vancouver, he quickly established himself within the Top 40 club scene, with multiple A list acts, and for over 10 years enjoyed touring within North America. The band Unchained, which began as a Van Halen tribute act, eventually evolved into an original entity of which he was a major songwriting contributor.
The band succeeded in securing a development deal, and speculative multi-million record deal with producer Paul Stanley of Kiss and Polygram Records. The band was flown to Kiss's studio in North Hollywood to record an EP which remains unreleased. The emergence of 'grunge' stalled Unchained's evolution and Tim soon began to focus on his personal producing and songwriting talents.
Through several versions of his ultimate creative vehicle, Tim finally crystallized his vision in the creation of TheMightyOne. He enlisted Devin Townsend (Steve Vai, Lamb of God, The Devin Townsend Project) to produce the single "Reprieved" from the debut self titled album, and secured renowned mixer Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Rush, Metallica) to ensure the single's recognition at radio. The album and single have received solid play across North America in 2010 charting as high as #2 in some areas. The video for "Reprieved" is currently in regular rotation at Much Music.
From that D.Y.I success Tim has assembled a live band that features heavy hitters such as drummer Bob Wagner (Econoline Crush, City Of Fire), guitarist Rob Breti (Yeah Whatever) and veteran bassist Chris Campbell (June, Crash Electric) and guitarist Lorne Seaton who is featured on the debut recording.
With refreshingly aware quality songwriting, a new album in pre production, a veteran management and promotions team, major label interest and a captivating live show, TheMightyOne is set to take it's rightful place among the greats of influential, popular, modern hard rock music.

2. The single Reprieved by TheMightyOne is in consideration for Guitar Hero.
3. Self financed a video for Reprieved by TheMightyOne and secured regular rotation at Much Music.
4. Self financed and secured a North American radio promotion of TheMightyOne charting as high as #2 in some areas.
5. Have self financed and released two full length, professional releases since December 2008.
6. Have secured, contracted, placement of music, in multiple MTV shows, Fox Sports, Yergh Music and Louar Music catalogues.
