Tom Feldmann is a gifted country bluesman, slippin' and slidin' on his resonator guitars with the soul of a Delta master. Beyond his powerful fingerpicking and deadly bottleneck work, Feldmann is also a fine singer, his gravelly voice reaching through the decades to evoke the hard-scrabble days of the Depression and life in the Deep South between World Wars I and II. In addition to creating numerous instructional videos for Stefan Grossman's Guitar Workshop, Feldmann's latest album, Lone Wolf Blues is a master-class of country blues and gospel guitar from the 1920's through '40's.
Feldmann has released 13 CD's in his 15 year career and toured throughout the United States and Canada since 1999. Over the past 3 years Tom has become a well known instructor of 1920's-30's blues and gospel with numerous instructional videos produced by Stefan Grossman's Guitar Workshop and distributed worldwide by Mel Bay. This past year Feldmann performed at Merlefest alongside Corey Harris & Phil Wiggins, Roy Book Binder, Happy Traum and Chris Smither, taught at Jorma Kaukonen's infamous Fur Peace Ranch, and opened shows for David Bromberg, David Lindley, Roy Book Binder, and Paul Geremia. Feldmann was also nominated for a 2013 Independent Music Award.
Tom Feldmann has had feature articles in Vintage Guitar Magazine and Bluesnews Magazine (Germany), and his CD's Tribute (2010) and Lone Wolf Blues (2012) have received rave reviews from Blues Revue Magazine, Living Blues Magazine, Blues in Britain (UK), Blues Matters (UK), Concerto (Austria), Soul Bag (France), Blues PL (Poland) and many other top publications around the globe.
