Toni Dolce

Originally from Fredonia, NY, vocalist and voice-over artist Toni Dolce now considers New York City her home. As a classically trained singer, lover of pop, musical theater, and adult contemporary music, Toni strives to continually push her vocal abilities.

Her academic career in vocal performance began at SUNY Fredonia and continued at UNC Greensboro where she received her BA in International Development with a music minor. Her time in Greensboro gave Toni the opportunity to vocally experiment while touring with the well-known R&B band, Black and Blue. After graduating, Ms. Dolce moved to New York City to attend the acclaimed American Musical and Dramatic Academy where she spent an additional two years honing her musical theater skills.

It was during these initial years in the city while working as a karaoke bartender in Times Square that Toni experimented with all the latest pop songs for the always revolving door of international tourists. These years of performing for foreigners further fueled her passion to sing internationally. Ms. Dolce has sung in Austria, Latvia and Estonia. She has also performed the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden.

Toni is a proud working member of the New York Choral Artists, a premiere professional choir that is consistently featured with the NY Philharmonic. Some performances include; My Fair Lady starring Kelsey Grammar and Kelly O’Hara, Grendel, directed by Julie Taymor, the premiere of Paul McCartney’s Ecce Cor Meum at Carnegie Hall, Amahl and the Night Visitors, Janáček’s The Cunning Little Vixen, Handel’s Messiah and Elijah, Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortilèges, Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, and Mozart’s Mass in C minor. Ms. Dolce currently sings as a soprano section leader under the direction of Dr. David Hurd at Church of the Holy Apostles.

After a successful experience during the inaugural season of Simon Cowell’s X Factor on FOX, Toni took the words of wisdom from the celebrity judges and went to work on her debut, self-titled album. This contemporary classical album was released on Jan 2nd, 2013.

In addition to being a vocalist, Toni is an in-demand voice-over artist and the female voice for over 400 abstracts at She, and her husband, Andrew Bove, co-own Purple Critter Media; a boutique media company specializing in videography, photography, and creative consulting.
