Biography

SINGER/SONGWRITER TONY PARKER

[Newtown, PA] - Tony Parker is an independent singer/songwriter/producer. By the age of eighteen, he was writing songs while simultaneously exploring his other passion – science. He published his first music recording, Mary Ann, in 1982 (Starlite MacPark (ASCAP)), and his first scientific research paper in 1986. He has been writing, playing, recording, and experimenting ever since. He is the founder of Starlite MacPark (ASCAP) Music Productions, and is also the Principal Scientist and founder of A.A. Parker Consulting, LLC. Tony’s recordings combine his finger-style titanium six-string guitar with a melodic piano/keyboard style – uniquely his own. In addition to We Need Love, his music productions include Tony Parker, a collection of original songs and recordings featuring the world's first Titanium Acoustic Guitar Strings, The Bill Jenkins Trio: Jazz 1969, Transformation, Christmas Toledo, My Titanium Six, Seven Over Four, and A Song for Every Season. Like his music, his research traverses across several “genres” ranging from surface chemistry and silanes to polymer science and adhesion. He is the inventor of the world's first Titanium Acoustic Guitar Strings (U.S. Patent 6,348,646) and Organosilane Surface Treated Musical Instrument Strings (U.S. Patent 7,476,791). Tony Parker, Ph.D. has more than 20 years of research, development, and management experience with expertise in product development, polymer science and adhesion, mechanical properties of polymers, coatings, structure-property-process relationships, thermal analytical methods, FTIR spectroscopy, and NMR spectroscopy. In parallel with his music publishing, Tony has authored or co-authored more than 50 technical publications – including more than 25 patents with several patents pending.
