Originally from Orlando, Florida, Tracy Barfield began work in the entertainment industry at an early age. A former member of the Screen Actors Guild, he appeared in local and national television commercials, brochures for Central Florida area organizations and theme parks, and performed on stage in professional dinner theater.
Tracy grew up listening to all kinds of music but says country and gospel music have always felt like home. He discovered his love of writing in his early childhood and began writing poetry in his high school days. It would be a decade later before his love of writing blended with his love of music, and he wrote his first song. Now residing in Upper East Tennessee, you can often find him blending his love of country and gospel music in song and still feeling quite at home while "simply writing the songs as the good Lord gives them, and especially for my Christian and gospel tunes, hoping they might be a blessing and an encouragement to someone."
Tracy is currently a non-performing singer/songwriter, but plans to release additional music while continuing to pitch his songs to performing artists and bands. He began receiving radio play as an independent artist on Southern Gospel radio with his moving single release, "When This World Shakes," which debuted at #11 in the top 50 Radio Music Group FM Charts (July 2016).
Certified as a Temperament Counselor by the National Christian Counselors Association and as a Commissioned Minister in 2004, Tracy loves ministering God's Word and Truth in song.
