TrueHeart

Biography

Ross Vick is the songwriter and lead vocalist for TrueHeart. The songs on the CD "The Road" have been acclaimed by fans and critics alike, reminding they say of a young Paul McCartney with other favorable comparisons to James Taylor, Dan Fogelberg, Paul Simon and The Eagles in the approach to performances, crafting each song, arrangements and production. Baby Boomers now have a new artist, one of their own, with socially releveant lyrics and familiar production and song values to add to their favorites music collection. Some of the most interesting vocal textures come on the tracks where sister Karen and brother Patrick join in. Supertramp lead guitarist Marty Walsh lends his considerable talents on a majority of the guitar tracks yet some of the hottest playing comes from Dallas native Aaron Kelley on Where Are You. James Driscoll and Matt Kellum round out the rhythm section on bass and drums respectively and the many years of playing together in national and regional acts shines through as thought they read each others mind. The entire CD is held together by the keyboards, rhythm guitars and arrangments of Gary Leach. Gary put his stamp on music history by his contributions to the first LeAnn Rimes albums recorded at Greg Hunt's Rosewood Studios in Tyler, Texas. The single "The Road" earned Ross and TrueHeart the distinction of being the only truly independent artist to finish 2007 in the Mediabase Adult Contemporary Top 100, where the track topped out at number 25; number 27 at Billboard AC and number 5 on the FMQB/AC chart.
