Turkish Queen was a band out of Boston, MA, and was active between 2002-2005. Consisting of Ajda the Turkish Queen and S.J.Roi, they were mostly an experimental duo influenced by the sounds of 4AD, such as Cocteau Twins and Throwing Muses. They opened for His Name Is Alive in 2005...They released the cusp EP in 2003, and some of their later demo material went on to be released in Ajda's subsequent band, Black Fortress of Opium. S.J.Roi passed away in Chehalis, WA in July 2008. Their music lives on in the ether...
