Since sitting at the piano in his high chair as a baby, Tyler Echols has always enjoyed performing. MusicByTyler.com is the natural progression of his dreams. He grew up on a small farm in rural Utah. His home-grown music delights the senses and moves the heart with uplifting lyrics and catchy rhythms. Tyler started writing music in High School and went on to study music and voice prior to serving an LDS mission in Tacoma, Washington for 2 years. His ability to write and perform music deepened and matured during his time in Tacoma. He often used music to teach and invite the Lord’s spirit into gospel and faith discussions while serving as an LDS missionary. He continues that tradition of using music to teach in many different settings even today.
Tyler records with his brother, Brandon, and sister, Amanda. They have a natural blend and harmony that transcends simply singing together. They instinctively work well as a team. Performing in a drum-line for several years together has also led to an easy rhythm and camaraderie between them. In addition to singing harmony and backup, Brandon usually performs and records the drum-set and percussion parts in Music by Tyler. His easy-going personality and quick wit keep the group grounded and laughing at the same time. Amanda often sings duets with Tyler. Her vocal range allows for a wide variety of parts from simple harmony in the same octave to descants sung high above the melody. In addition to percussion, she also plays violin and piano. She brings a classic style to the music.
Music by Tyler is peaceful and soothing yet motivating, uplifting and inspirational. Each song teaches Christian principles of eternal truths. The power is in the message and the message is in the music. The music will linger in your mind with its beautiful melodies, harmonies, and moving beat. Music by Tyler comes in an array of styles from Instrumental and Piano Solos to Ballads, Soft Rock, Easy Listening and Christian Rock – with an occasional Love Song thrown in.
Tyler’s faith is based in LDS beliefs. He belongs to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons). He believes that each song is a gift from the Lord. Soli Deo Gloria.
