The band UNDEAD was formed in December 2002 in the city of Yoshkar-Ola, Russia.
Initially the band specialized in cover versions of such venerable bands songs as Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, and later - In Flames, Children of Bodom, Death.
Soon the group started producing their own works combining in their music super heavy riffs of death metal, melody of power and heavy metal and the beauty of classical music.
At the moment, the team managed to give dozens of concerts (including solo ones) in several cities of the Volga region and Moscow. UNDEAD repeatedly took part in open-air performances of bike shows.

In the spring of 2007, the band completed their work on a promo «The Call of Blood» (5 tracks, 2 of the tracks - instrumental). One of the songs of this promo - «DIS (Death Intelligence Service) »- was included in a collection of metal music «Armageddon, vol.1» («CD-Maximum» label).
In September 2007 online single "Castle of Dreams" was released work on which took several months in search of some new sounding. Looking to achieve higher quality audio the band entrusted mastering of the single to professionals from the studio of «Master & Servant» (Hamburg, Germany), who worked with such bands as Scorpions, Lacrimosa, In Extremo, HIM and others.
During winter 2010 the band has completed recording their first full length album, entitled «Death Intelligence Service». which again involved world-class professionals: cover of the disc was developed by the Finnish artist Jan Yrlund (Apocalyptica, Epidemia, Impaled Nazarene, Kipelov, Manowar, Stratovarius, and other).
