Ukulele Mike

Mike Conway has been playing the ukulele since he was ten years old. On a flea market uke he began taking lessons at school in his hometown of Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia, Canada (the land of hockey great Sidney Crosby). Not only has Cole Harbour produced great hockey but great music too! If the hockey stick was a ukulele we might have another Cole Harbouran on the cover of GQ magazine.

“Playing the ukulele brought me my fair share of teasing back then and if I had a nickel for every time I was called Tiny Tim (check this ukulele guy out too) or asked to play Tip Toes Thru The Tulips …I'd be as rich as Rockefeller,” he says.

Mike soon excelled on the ukulele, even achieving a level that went beyond his teacher at the time by playing complicated ukulele solos. This sparked his music teacher to showcase him as a soloist.
He achieved several music trophies as a kid, a standing ovation at a World Music Conference at Acadia University (which included his dad's applause which shocked the family).
His debut CD “Ukulele Mike” is being enjoyed worldwide. Mike's musical talent is even being studied in some schools in Europe on a music education disc.

Personal message from Mike:

“I hope you enjoy my ukulele CD. It's a miracle and a labour of love. I never thought I'd actually make a CD.
If possible I ask that you choose to own an actual physical copy of the CD as it will really help me pay the rent.
You can also read my biography and interesting commentary on these tunes and why I chose them.
So kick back, take a vacation, and push life's stresses away for a while.
It is indeed a musical adventure ride and made for your pleasure."

"Also, check out my namesake ("Ukulele Mike") on You Tube.
Mr. Lynch teaches basic uke from Christ The King School, Seattle, Washington.
All the best and thanks kindly, Mike.”
