Vernepia is a band that achieves a great sound by mixing pop with other various genres (latin, bossa nova, hip hop, rock, etc.) The band is made up by singer Ninive Sanchez and keyboardists Adrian Sanchez, both composers of lyrics and music of all their songs.
Vernepia was created on year 2007 when Nínive and Adrián Sánchez, brother and sister, decided to start writing songs together and found great affinity on doing so. They both had made musical studies at the "Conservatorio Nacional de Música" in Quito, Ecuador, Nínive on flute, and classic and contemporary vocal techniques, and Adrián on piano. On 2009, their first album was produced by Alexis Proaño "Matico", was recorded at "Graba" and "Si sostenido" on Quito, Ecuador, and was mixed and mastered by grammy-award winner Diego Acosta on Miami, Florida. The same year, their first single named "Tu Calor" was released getting great airplay, it was nominated to best latin song on the 2010 Eworld Music Awards and completed its process with the recording of its video directed by Gustavo Arguello. On 2010, their second song named "Corazón de Agua Salada" was released and after that the complete first album also named "Tu Calor". "Corazón de Agua Salada" was one of the 100 best songs of the year on Radio Kiss, one of the most important radios of Ecuador. Vernepia continues traveling to lots of different locations on their country giving shows. The video of "Corazón de Agua Salada" is expected to be released the first days of August, 2011.
