I have been a professional artist/illustrator for over 40 years, a creative occupation that also paid the monthly bills. It has been a profession for which I am truly thankful, but music has always been my first love and the reason I pursued the related field of art in the first place. When I write my music it comes solely from the heart. I compose because it is my passion, a need within me. Sharing it with others who happen to also love the music is my real reward.
How would I describe my music? It is based in the influences of Classic/Contemporary and Brazilian Jazz. Occasionally it can take on the feel of the Cinema Soundtrack. It is easier to describe the feeling than the genre. Here are some examples from dear fans.
“Thanks for continuing to make music that soothes the soul. I have been a fan for many years.”
— Bernie (PA)
“Today is a gloomy, rainy day in Arkansas, and I needed some music to lift me up - that music on my stereo right now is yours. Beautiful, pure, and definitely soul-touching. I want you to know how much I appreciate your sharing your awesome talent.
— Lori (AR)
“You are an extraordinary musician. I know of no other artist that can transport me to another space and time with their music like yours does for me.”
— Terri (GA)
“Today, in the morning, while I listened [to] the radio, I came across your music. I heard the [song] Colera and I was very enchanted. Your way to make music is very special. You [use] your talent with the most sensibility and emotion.”
— Leonardo (BRAZIL)
Very soothing. Sunset on the Pacific, a sunny beach in Ipanema and lights on busy city sidewalks.
— Bob (CA)
Ultimately, it makes no difference what you call the music — what genre you place it in. What is important is the amount of enjoyment it brings to you, the listener. Music was meant to stir the spirit; to excite the emotions; to make you feel alive; to make you smile, or even a little bit blue; to make you want to dance, or maybe just daydream.
Music is a journey not taken by everyone. I hope you will take the trip with me.
