Veronika Iltchenko

Veronika Iltchenko gained widespread recognition for her performances of late romantic oeuvres that included Mussorgsky and Rachmaninov, and 20th-century works by composers such as Debussy, Prokofiev, Ustvolskaya and Badadjanian. Born into a musical family, Veronika Iltchenko took up the piano at a young age. She studied in Ekaterinburg at the Tchaikovsky Music College and at the Mussorgsky State Conservatory, with Gregory Reznikov. She subsequently refined her skills by studying with Jan Michiels at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels and with Rian de Waal at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. During her studies, she also participated in master classes with Lee Kum Sing, Daniel Pollack, Jan Wijn and Alexei Lubimov. In 2000, Veronika Iltchenko established herself in Brussels, which became the base for her many recitals at home and abroad. Although she mainly presents herself as a concert pianist, she is often asked to accompany singers in recitals. Her first CD - Recital - with masterpieces from the Russian piano literature, was unanimously praised by the public and the press. Her latest CD “Le temps retrouvé”, with a selection of French pieces for flute and piano, with Toon Fret, flutist of the ensembles Oxalys and het Collectief, was released in September 2012.
