‘Zindagi’ covers a range of inspirational and youthful songs from Rock/Pop/Jazz as well as Sufi genres. All songs are written, composed, and sung by me. In one song, ‘Muskurale’, Sadhna Sargam is a co-singer. What makes Zindagi different from other traditional Hindi albums is that its songs do not have traditional mukhra/antra like most Bollywood songs. The songs have been composed in a westernized way where there are only Mukhras (verses). The songs have been arranged with the help of musicians in US to have a western feel. They were finally mixed in Bombay to keep the Indian touch for the Indian listeners”.
Vicky Kohli currently resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
