Vincent Lynch

Vincent lynch may not be the newest or the youngest new artist on the Irish Music scene, but things have really been looking up for this native Corkonian in recent months. Following the release of his debut original single ‘Shine A Light’ , interest grew quickly in this late starting singer/songwriter. Radio stations and media started wondering, so whats next? Who is Vincent Lynch?? So,,, we decided... Gambling Man..... there's just a taste of Vincent Lynch, just a teaser, tip of the iceberg, small little peckings for people to chew over for a bit.... and here's how it all started!!!

Vincent started his musical path not unlike most young lads his age, at the tender age of 14, the influence of rock music, specifically, Thin Lizzy was definitely a more appealing lifestyle than that of a tradesman / scholar, but soon after picking the guitar up for himself, Vincent quickly knew that the relationship between man and instrument was going to be a lifelong affair with many tumultuous twists and turns.

After whizzing though his exams, Vincent very quickly found himself playing on the local scene, playing guitar for many a Cork band, but it was an audition with The Tony Stevens Showband that really pushed his career in a new direction.

Vincent was the main guitarist with the Showband, and played in sold out venues the length and breath of Ireland, as well as across the waters in the UK, playing prestigious venues such as the Gresham Hotel on the Holloway Road, as well as the Hibernian and The Galteemore.

It was Christmas time 1992 though, when Vincent’s world came crashing down.

A near fatal road accident with Tony’s band left Vincent with two broken legs, and an uncertainty if music would continue to play a part in his life.

Thankfully though, within 18months, Vincent was back behind the microphone, belting out tunes as he was never away…

A chance meeting with a music manager in 2007 completely changed the direction Vincent’s music was going to take, at this stage, even Vincent didn’t realise that his musical world was going to be tested to the limits. After working briefly with his new manager, they met with producer Andy Reynolds from CeolNua Music, and from there.. Everything changed!

Suddenly, Vincent was no longer expected to go on stage playing other people’s music, it was now HIS turn to do the writing and arranging, so in February 2008, Vincents first original song ‘Sunday Morning’ was wrote, and its been an epic journey ever since!

With a catalogue of over 400 songs, numerous meetings with Record labels, Producers, Publishers etc, Vincent has been close on a few occassions, but as always fate interjected with another plan

But, Vincent persevered, and has been spending the past 2 years developing his own unique sound and is almost ready to take it out on the road. That time has come.... and we present.... 'GAMBLING MAN'.
