The press describes WAVE IN HEAD as harmonic, infectious, "very electric" and in parts experimental. WAVE IN HEAD was founded in 1993 as one man project. Influences come from the electronic music of the 80ies. In 1999 the project had reached a state of development to be able to produce a first EP which was distributed over the internet. The "rarely" - EP got very enthusiastic reviews. The following CD "Criminal Ballad" was not published because it was made as promotion item. After a number of sampler participations in 2000 several record labels offered a deal. At the beginning of 2001 WAVE IN HEAD signed to A Different Drum, America´s biggest Synthpop label and published the debut album "Time to speak", as well as the singles: "Progress" and "I began to hope". "With You", single #3 quickened the interest for the following longplayer "You" in 2002. "I Hate To Be in Love" in 2005 was the lead in single for the 3rd studio album "For a Special Moment". Meanwhile we have 2010 and the album"The Voice in Me" reached A Different Drums weekly best sellers like many of WAVE IN HEADs releases at #1. Official release date is the 28th of April. The correspondent digital single is out since the 10th of April.
Beside the own productions WAVE IN HEAD remixed for a number of bands like De\Vision, Real Life etc.
WAVE IN HEAD has been performing live in Germany and the USA with the help of label colleagues or other musicians in the past.
WAVE IN HEAD is often described as a role model and reference in the Synthpop sector and can refer to a huge numer of positive press reviews.
