War I Am Dallas

Life has been a challenge, but it never got him down. Even when viciously attacked by cancer, he stood up like a real champion. While walking “through the valley of the shadow of death,” he had no fear because the Big Man upstairs has been with him every step of the way. Today, he’s head of his own Dallas, Texas musical fortress known as the MOB CARTELL EMPIRE.

Today, he has the greatest of respect and admiration for the organization that basically saved his life and put him on the road to recovery and recognition. “Due to my illness with cancer, I was able to realize my musical ambitions when the Make A Wish Foundation game me a $10,000-studio. It’s the best gift I have ever received, because it has helped me to develop into the person and the artist that I am today,” said the very grateful and appreciative artist that goes simply by the name War.

As a youngster growing up in a West Dallas, Texas community, War discovered his musical talent back in 1996 and began putting his talent to work.

Having sufficiently honed his musical talent over the next three years, War was able to successfully deliver his first musical child – a mix-tape – with the help of his West Dallas neighborhood friends.

In 2003 is when the cancer struck. “Even though I was intimately involved with my music creations, I was still only a senior in high school when I was diagnosed with cancer. This was a devastating period for me, but somehow it fired up my enthusiasm and passion for writing music,” War recalled.

However somewhere down the road, War was blessed with the help of the Make A Wish Foundation, which gave him a music studio worth $10,000. Even though the treatment of his cancer was foremost on his mind War never prevailed to recording, producing, and releasing two original albums.

Miraculously, in May of 2003, with the constant love, prayers, and treatment, War’s cancer disappeared and immediately after graduation he set himself on a course to realizing his musical goal and that is to become West Dallas, Texas' number-one musical artist ever.

Having maintained the foundation of his Mob Cartel Empire label, War has to date joined forces with two other record labels, released over 15 mix-tapes, performed in places such as Iowa, Oklahoma, California, Houston, and East Texas, and worked with some of the industry’s major producers to include King, who works with Timberland and Detail of Konvict Music.

War has also been the opening act for some major artists such as LIL Wayne, LIL Webbie, Paul Wall, David Banner, Tre, Zro, LIL KeKe, and Young Jeezy.

In 2009 War released his first major album "Just 4 Ur Attention”, featuring top billing artist, T Pain.

Today, War has matured into a top-flight independent artist, and remains head of MOB CARTELL EMPIRE, where he is being assisted with the day to day operation by the CEO and President. He has a growing stable of upcoming artists with phenomenal music talents.

War is definitely one artist that you’ll have to keep an eye on. With the right guidance and direction he is about to break out, the entire music industry will be engulfed and never be the same again.
