W.e.l.l. CED, whose birth name is Cedric Lorenzo White, is originally from Georgetown, SC. He was born on March 24, 1986. CED is the second oldest of 6 children. He was raised in a home with parents who feared God and taught him that a life after Christ is the most important life to live. As an adolescent, CED was baptized in Jesus’ name and received the gift of the Holy Ghost, and developed a desire to know Jesus for himself. Here, the journey began. In high school, CED found inspiration in a fellow classmate and knew that he was not young to be a light and to spread the gospel. CED then realized that he possessed a talent for playing the drums and began ministering in his local church as the drummer. As CED began to spread his wings, he moved away to college and continued to let his light shine, witnessing too many and watching numerous souls be added to the kingdom. There came a point where CED’s light began to dwindle and he fell away into moral sin. However, CED remembered the teachings of his parents and spiritual mentors, and by the grace of God, he did not allow these indiscretions to become the spiritual death of him. CED began to redevelop a relationship with God that he prayed would be unshakeable. It was at this time that the Lord allowed CED to realize that he had a lyrical gift. With his love for music and the Word of God, CED allowed God to develop that gift as he began to pursue ministry in gospel rap. CED now works passionately with the youth at his home church, the Pentecostals of Georgetown. With his love for God, the Word of God, youth, and music, CED strives to live every day with a heart after Christ and to reach out to a lost and dying world.
