BIOGRAPHY
After his brother, Andre’s death in 2002, Wes Cleveland BKA Wesley Johnson turned off the radio and stopped listening to rap and hip hop music, but continued to write. At this time Wes decided to turn from the culture of hip hop and its various forms, to hear his brother’s voice of encouragement telling him to become someone great and original in his talent of music as a writer. His brother’s motivation provoked the artist to find his own voice, identity, name, style and numerous markets of media, which today Wes will humbly tell you, “I write and perform whatever God puts on my heart, and thank those who support my talent I was given.” Facing another death, losing his Dad on Feb 14, 2011 to a Desmoid Tumor which caused other complications, Wes Cleveland BKA Wesley Johnson knows that the time is now or never and has turned the radio back on and has high aspirations in his gited talent as a writer and performer. Wes hopes to hear his music playing next to artist who inspire him, such as Wiz Khalifa, T.I., Eminem, Jay-Z, LeCrae, and Kanye West to name a few. Listeners will be amazed and pleased by the hard knocking beats and clever lyrics which compliment the artist character perfectly. Wesley Johnson debut album, “Get In Where I Fit In” hopes to inspire labels to find artists who think outside the box-Jack!! Get it? Got it? Good! Love!!
