Wildcard is a rapper, actor, filmmaker, and lyricist from San Gabriel Valley, CA, who has taken the music world by storm in recent years. After a troubled childhood riddled with drugs and problems with the law, Wildcard is now determined to channel his pain and reflections through his music, all the while maintaining the raw edge, entertainment, and dark humor of his hip-hop upbringing.
His music has been featured in numerous feature films, most notably his song, “Gag Order” in the powerful motion picture, “Eden/The Abduction of Eden,” based on a real life human trafficking story, featuring Jamie Chung (The Hangover 2) and Beau Bridges.
As we see in his varied fan base, his music appeals to a wide demographic due to his sharp, memorable hooks, creative lyrics, cinematic music videos, and – on some tracks- fiery classic rock guitar. It’s strong hip-hop with a blues chaser, definitely like nothing else out there!
Proving he’s a force to be reckoned with, Wildcard has collaborated with everyone from Krayzie Bone from Bone Thugs N Harmony, Crooked I from Slaughterhouse (Eminem’s Shady Records), Ces Cru (Tech N9ne’s Strange Music), Madchild (Subnoize/Swollen Members), Slaine (La Coka Nostra), and more.
Wildcard will be embarking on a 30+ date tour throughout Canada with Madchild (Swollen Members) and Slaine (La Coka Nostra) for The Lawn Mower Man Tour in August and September of 2013.
Wildcard has played for packed houses in California and the Northwest-as well as toured extensively throughout Washington, Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, and Utah, and The 14th Annual Gathering of the Juggalos in Illinois. He’s opened for such acts as Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan, Crooked I, Ces Cru, Mobb Deep, Kottonmouth Kings, Drowning Pool, Candlebox, Dead Prez, Brotha Lynch Hung, The Grouch & Eligh, and more.
Wildcard has released three underground independent albums, Dark Night of the Soul and Setting the Bar [produced with fellow rapper Dead Poet] (both available on iTunes), and the newly released The Odyssey (Jan. 2012) Currently living in the Pacific Northwest, and recently spotlighted in The Inlander, Wildcard continues to pursue his music and his desire to give a voice to those who don’t have one, and is looking for the right team to partner with for a guaranteed worldwide success!
