In 1964 three buddies and I formed a garage band ( actually thanks to the kindness of one of my friend's parents - their basement) called The Haze. We played and performed through high school and a bit beyond. We were rock n roll, but as time moved on I found that I had much more affinity for country and folk music. Strong melodies and good stories interested me.
Once the band broke up I performed some coffee houses, but it didn't take too long until I stopped performing. Writing, singing, composing music came to a stop.
Thirty two years went by. Not long ago a song began to take form in my mind. I picked up my guitar and began to play aroung with a melody, a chorus, lyrics and Dianne's Song was born. Since then many more songs have become part of my songbook. But it started again with this song.
By the way, I think you will recognize quickly that I'm not going to win any vocal contests, but one can only work with what God has given us. I just hope you like my music.
