Willin Prophets


Willin Prophets four brothers was born into a family of musicans on the sunny Turks and Caicos Islands British West Indies Neil brought his brother Leon from the Islands to California in 1980, and send for the other two brothers Vernon and Bernard in the summer 1981 They resided in Inglewood California and the group was formed in 1981. They started out by playing at one of the biggest festivals in Southern California “The Traditional Bob Marley Day Reggae Road Block” February 6, 1982 at MacArthur Park. They have preformed in various venues such as college campuses through out California.

The group made there commercial debut in 1983 with the release of “Innocent Man” and “Unity” from the album Dreadness. The two songs were widely received by the reggae community. In 1987 the album release of “Resurrection” one of the particular songs “Pressure” moved the people of Turks Island with an unforgettable beat. The conscious raising of “Tribute to Jags McCarthy” was dedicated to the first chief minister poignant, chronicles, and controversial death of Turks and Caicos Island political figure. Along with the remix of “Reggae Music” raised consciousness and spiritual energy thought out the Island. Since the untimely death of group member Bernard Seymour aka Naddy live on. Willin Prophets is committed the developing and using the ominous cache of talent and leaving a legacy of roots music for all reggae lovers of the world
