Wir started his musical interest by learning and playing traditional folks songs at the age of 16 often spending long hours honing his guitar skills and exploring the different types of technique and sounds. By the aged of 20, Wir enrolled himself at Cornish College of Art in Seattle, Washington, known as one of the finest school for music.
In 2001 Wir recorded his first album, self titled Wir, "Now and Then a little of everything, past to present". The album is a collection of songs written from the year 1990 to 2001
His music being describe as “the overall crispness (especially guitars) is the subtlety and gentleness of the attack and decay of the string on all the songs ”. And the “non classification of any of his piece of music or song as any one pre existing type of music, having the element of pop, cinematic score, rock and probably a lot of genres, but all thrown into a truly unique original and uniqueness’ piece of music only by Wir ”
