Women With A Vision was formed in Columbia, South Carolina in 1995 under the leadership of the Late Great Charles “CB” Brown of the Six Voices of Zion of Columbia. They made their first public appearance in December of 1995 at Cedar Creek AME Church where they worshipped. Through the years, the group continued to sing and minister all over the state of SC. In May of 2007 the group released its first CD entitled "Good News". Again in October of 2010 they release their second project entitled “ Victory”. Both of which include songs written and arranged by different members of the group.
This group has shared a stage with many of gospel's greats such as Doc McKenzie, the late Tommy Ellison, The Swanee Quintet, Luther Barnes & The Gospel Legends, just to name a few. In October of 2007, Women With A Vision had the pleasure of being the only quartet group to open up for now, United States President, Barack Obama's "Embrace the Change" Tour held at the Township Auditorium in Columbia, SC. The tour included Mary Mary, Donnie McClurkin, Deitrick Haddon and The Mighty Clouds of Joy.
On their journey, WWAV has won several local awards. However, in 2011 WWAV was nominated for, and won The Rhythm of Gospel’s 2011 Female Quartet Group of the Year Award. This event was held in West Memphis, Arkansas where they traveled to appear and receive their award at the taping of this televised event.
WWAV released their 3rd Project, entitled “Restored”, October 6, 2012 at their 16th Anniversary Celebration. Prior to the project, they released two singles from that project, “Please Forgive Me” and “Reunion”.
