Zaltana

Zaltana members are Mischa Marmade (Vocals), Tito Falaschi (Drums/Vocals), Hilton Torres (Guitars/Vocals) and Dann Feltrin (Guitars/Backing Vocals), together since March/2012. Since then, the band has already recorded their debut album, “Scenes of Cruelty”. Drum tracks were recorded at Sonata 84 Studio, while guitars, bass and vocals were done at IMF STUDIOS, run by the Falaschi brothers. Drummer Tito Falaschi (ex-Symbols), brother of Edu Falaschi (Almah, ex-Angra), has garnered over 15 years of experience as a musician and music producer and will be signing the CD’s production.
The CD was mixed and mastered in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where it was craft by Jochem Jacobs, producer and recording engineer at Split Second Sound Studio.

MEMBERS

Mischa Marmade – Started practicing electronic organ and keyboard as a child. After joining several bands in São Paulo, she enrolled in EM&T (a music and technology school) to improve her vocal skills. Parallel to formal study, she relentlessly developed her own style, influenced by Melissa Cross’s singing technique. In 2010, while concluding her major in Computer Science at the University of São Paulo, she worked on developing plugins for Protools at Organia Engenharia Musical. Their research was sponsored by the National Counsel of Technological and Scientific Development (CNPq) and had partnership with YB Studio. In 2011, she recorded a track in a tribute to Iron Maiden entitled “Two Minutes to Midnight”, singing “Be Quick or Be Dead”, released worldwide by Versailles Records. Currently, she studies classical piano at Faculdade Santa Marcelina and teaches music. Her influences include Geddy Lee, Dave Mustaine, Doro Pesch and Randy Blythe.

Tito Falaschi – Is a Brazilian musician, multi-instrumentalist, and heavy metal singer. He is the drummer and producer of Zaltana. Parallel to the band, Tito has been working for over 12 years as a music producer with countless bands and teaching private lessons in music production. Tito’s accomplishments include work with Brazilian bands such as Wizards, Scars, Dark Avenger, Krusader, Vexus, Alefla, Templo Mayor, Eyes of Gaya, Souspell, and Angra. His interest in music was influenced by his brother, Edu Falaschi, and he started his first band when he was 14. Besides his brother, he’s influenced by Nicko McBrain, Iron Maiden, Adrian Smith, Dio, Supertramp, The Police, among others. Tito and Edu are the owners of DO IT! STUDIOS.
Tito uses Yamaha Stage Custom drums, Zildjian and Sabian cymbals, Takamine acoustic guitars, Dean and Dunamiz basses and Dunamiz guitars.

Hilton Torres – Guitarist, singer, and music producer. Born in Bahia, he began playing guitar at age 13 and soon joined bands in the local scene influenced by Iron Maiden, Dire Straits and Black Sabbath. At age 18, he moved to São Paulo, in order to further his studies in music. He graduated from IG&T (Guitar and Technology Institute), specializing in Fusion Guitar, and University Anhembi Morumbi with a Music Production major. Currently he teaches in schools and produces bands from the local underground scene. His main influences are Mark Knopfler, Slash and Zakk Wylde.

Dann Feltrin – Guitarist, arranger, and music producer, dedicated to Rock and Metal. Born and raised in Marilia, SP, he grew up in the middle of the city’s music scene, playing in cover bands and original bands, such as Garagem369, Seven Sins and Banda BG. At age 19, he went to Conservatório de Tatuí, where he studied MPB and Jazz. In 2012, he moved to São Paulo, and graduated from University Anhembi Morumbi (Music Production). Currently, he teaches in two schools in São Paulo, one of them focused on Nu-Metal and Metalcore. His influences are Zakk Wylde, Björn Gelotte, Jerry Cantrell e Adam Dutkiewicz.
Dann uses ESP-LTD guitars, Line6 POD HD500 multi-effects, ErnieBall strings (Not Even Slinky – 012), Monster Cable and Tecniforte cables.
