Caleb Fawcett is a professional pianist and composer. He has been working as an accompanist for ballet and contemporary dance classes for the past 18 years. Formerly based in London, he regularly played for Rambert Dance Company and was a part of the Royal Opera House education team. He also worked with the Michael Clark Company, Matthew Bourne's New Adventures and he occasionally played for the English National Ballet. In addition he also played at Sadlers Wells for visiting companies such as Alvin Ailey, American Ballet Theatre, and the Nederlands Dance Theatre.
Currently, Caleb is based in Copenhagen where he plays for Danish Dance Theatre and Skånes Dans Teater (in Malmö). He also works at Dansens Hus and at the Royal Theatre.
Caleb has written for numerous theatre and dance productions as well as a number of short films, plus a few works for television as part of Befine Music. He has studied film composition and orchestration.
He is also a keen proponent of Gypsy Swing (inspired by Django Reinhard) and was a long term member (10 years) of the Kings Cross Hotclub, now re-born as Phil Grispo's Hotclub.
