A few things that have been said about Emily & The Faves.....

‎''With more than a hint of Laurel Canyon’s golden age about it, the album condenses the classic songwriting sensibilities of the aforementioned with a helping of angularity courtesy of Krautrock. If the mixture of influences sounds unwieldy, it isn’t.....A superb, assured sounding debut album''

Richard Lewis, Bearded Magazine www.beardedmagazine.com

'In many ways a classic Mersey band but their knack for crafting wildly fresh psychedelic pop means they stand head and shoulders above tired revivalists.'

Peter Guy ' Liverpool Sound City 2011: Top 10 locals'

'The musical equivalent of being let off work early on a sunny day'
Bido Lito Magazine, July 2011

'On paper The Faves shouldn’t work, songs refuse to conform, speed up and slow down and fuse genres but with songs averaging 2 minutes 30 seconds and eccentric arrangements that always keep you guessing, these low-res sonic home-videos take you unawares and excite your brain like cocaine encephalitis. Emily's fabulously non-conformist guitar playing is central to the Fave’s sound and her simultaneously innocent and knowing voice and strangely affecting lyrics seal the deal.'

Paul Simpson (The Wild Swans / Teardrop Explodes) online blog

'Fabulous songs walk a tightrope between driving post punk minimalism and beautifully crafted other worldliness. A band to be cherished and unique on a world scale'
