In the summer of 2005 Ben and Jaroslav Benes, brothers from a Philadelphia hard hitting band (Little Joe Pinto), were searching for a change…a change in musical direction, a fresh lineup, a new beginning. With the addition of Jerry Decker (drums) and Mike Massey (bass) their search was over. They called the project evolv to symbolize the metamorphosis within their music. The concept was to create a mixture of vocal harmonies, experimental guitar work and driving percussion. Song after song this concept has been displayed. Evolv has continually developed their sound and audience finding untapped creativity in the world of modern rock, metal, blues, hiphop, jazz, and more. There are no boundaries surrounding this group. Evolv takes pride in their "Do It Yourself" approach to their music, but it doesn't end there.
