Swedish American Singer/Songwriter Jennifer Newberry blends an array of Soul, R&B and Pop sounds with an alternative rock foundation. Inspired by and compared to artists such as Norah Jones, Alicia Keys and Christina Aguilera, Jennifer adds her personal touch to round out the sound. Heartfelt, Melodic, transparent and true, Jennifer brings her life, her stories and her past to the music she shares with the listeners. Jennifer Newberry is mixing Swedish Pop, American Soul and Acoustic Rock.
With flavors of different cultures, mentalities and styles, Jennifer writes songs straight from her heart. Thoughts and feelings expressed with a soulful clear voice. Jennifer grew up in a home filled with song. Her mother a singer, laid the foundation by teaching her the techniques behind singing, running through scales and practicing harmonies. Influencing Jennifer with all kinds of music from the Beatles to ABBA, Soul to Swedish lullabies as well as Jazz and the Blues. Vocalists with strong vocal abilities always inspired Jennifer. Therefore, soul music had a great impact on her musical technique.
