Jonka is a love story. The grandson of a blind subway musician. A Kindergarten teacher from Brooklyn. They found love and they found a voice. Jonka grew up in the 1980's at a time when music and production emanated a larger than life sound. This permeates the music. Together they've created a marriage of pop, synthesizers, dance and rock. Smartly crafted, irresistibly catchy.
Having made their way through the best venues in NYC, jonka will be touring the northeast and beyond in 2011.
