Minoo was born June 12, 1983 in Cairo with an artistic feeling in his heart and soul. Ever since he was a young boy, Minoo loved and enjoyed music. His family also gave him much encouragement and support to chase his dreams.
At the age of 16, Minoo began to further advance and mold his passion for music after meeting his idol, Yanni, the great pianist. Minoo told Yanni, “I will be like you one day.” Yanni responded, “I see it in your eyes.” These statements have driven Minoo to great achievements already.
Also, in this short period of time, Minoo studied computers intensively, learning to synthesize and mix the beautiful melodies you hear. Minoo has studied music exhaustively night and day, formally & informally in both Egypt and in the United States of America. It is these experiences in his life that leads to the mixture of modern music and beats with Arabic zest. The addition of digitally mastered voices and oriental melodies and instruments further create the magic that you hear from Minoo’s music.
Minoo’s perseverance and dedication to his music is quite exemplary. Nothing can tear him away from his keyboard and computer! Minoo is a self-made man and never forgets his humble upbringings. Minoo takes great worth and regard for his family and friends. Building a professional music studio one piece and a time, Minoo has put his sweat, blood, and heart into his haven. This is where the most magical and beautifully mastered audio in the whole world takes place.
Minoo has had the honor of working with big names in the field like Kamel Boutros, the famous pianist in New York City, and Magdalena, the famous Spanish opera singer. These are a couple among many others from around the world. With the help and support of Tarek Madkour, one of the Middle East’s top producer and songwriter, Minoo has been able to reach new heights that were thought not possible.
Egyptrance, his first album, is a stunning and ravishing compilation from Minoo’s heart. This is the first Oriental trance album of its kind in the whole world. Sit back and enjoy the music of Minoo’s Egyptrance.
