Najib was born in Tangier, Morocco and is now resident in Nice, France. Since an early age, he is submerged into the world of traditional Arabic music. At the age of 12, he wins a regional prize for liturgical vocals.
Najib discovered Trance music at its golden age back in 1999. He started then producing a few melodic dream dance tracks (including Simple Beauty, Summer Morning and Melodicus).
In 2007, he signs his first track Glassy Mountain with Irish label Dublin Xpress Recordings along with remixes from 3 other artists.
In 2008, he releases "Ya Layla" under the same label. Ya Layla is based on a traditional arabic song from Lebanese singer Wadih Assafi. Najib made a trance tune out of it mixing oriental melodies, soothing build-ups/break-downs as well as his own vocals.
The EP also features Minimal and Tech House remixes.
Najib's music sits nicely between Trance and Arabic music and combines hypnotizing synthesizer melodies, and oriental instruments and vocals.
