the Same Difference is Joseph Pisz and David Gallus. For the live performances, they have with with them Ron Nordwall on sax/flute and Jim Kaufman on drums. The all original music of the Same Difference is a blend of acoustic instrumental jazz and Americana. Their main influence is probably Acoustic Alchemy, and the word they hear most when fans describe their music is.....relaxing. All of the songs were written by Joe and or Dave, but Ron and Jim are a valuable addition to the live performances. Their all instrumental music is best suited for an audience who wants to listen to the music and socialize at the same time. The music by the Same Difference helps the listener to unwind after a long hard week and helps them to relax and start the weekend off on a good note. It also works well in the event setting where people are there for a specific purpose, but want to hear beautiful music during the event.
the Same Difference was also blessed with great talent in the studio. There were several fantastic local players that played on the first two CDs including Paul Magersuppe, John Hollis, Jerry Tillman, Steve Siciliano, Jeff Chafin, John Michalak, Shaun Dash and Chuck Hemann. Chuck also was responsible for all of the wonderful string arrangements and co wrote two of the songs.
Dave and Joe have been together for many years now and have recently released their third CD "Take Three." This new CD features Ron Nordwall on sax and flute and Shaun Dash contributed his keyboard talent on one track "After the Rain remembered." Steve Siciliano played electric guitar on two of the tracks "Old Memories" and "Friends" showing once again that he is one of the best players in the country.
The music of the Same Difference is the kind of music that people actually want to listen to....and then become a part there of.
