Influenced by everything from Nirvana and Taking Back Sunday to Bob Dylan and The Smiths, BeachBombSaints is the love child of 24 year-old singer/songwriter Willie Ramsey. Ramsey began posting songs/videos on YouTube in the fall of 2008 and since then, has ranked up nearly 20,000 views. The appeal? “I sing about real things—coming from a broken home, being homeless, being kicked out of art school; I could go on and on… Anyway, I think people pick up on the sincerity and honesty in my songs and feel they can relate in some way.” Ramsey goes on to say, “When I first started posting videos, I had no clue what I was doing and still don’t in some ways [chuckles].I take the D.I.Y. mentality to hear—I write, record, and mix my own music and videos; I’m just grateful so many people have listened to my music.”
