notes
What started as a solo project for me has turned into much more, Burning Hope.
I wrote the songs for this project, but now we are culminating our talents and writing together.
We all love diversity and we all have a variety of influences.
We are starting off our career as a band with this disk that we have all bled for.
I did all the writing, arranging and guitar playing, but once Ross and Dave put their signatures on it it became a whole new animal.
Dave is a spaceoid.
He revels in Hendrix, Dylan, and the like.
What makes him such a great bass player is the way he feels the music.
Ross has played around for a while, even with Robert Cray.
The guy is what almost no drummers are- creative! As for myself, I have trained with the local legend Mike Bruce, as well as (indirectly) Rik Emmett, Steve Vai, Kory Clarke, Steve Harris, and Buddy Guy to name a few.
I try and arrive at my stuff by my own path and I think this shows in the tunes.
Enjoy! Foster

In the right direction
author: PEDWell I've been listening ...I give each one a few listens just to see if the tunes would grow on me. As a musician I listen to the individual instruments, the blend, and the overall impact. You've got potential. I like the energy and the go for it attitude. Your guitar playing is adequate, but sometimes sounds like just a rehearsal take. you know? In other words there is nothing about the musicianship that rings my bell...but like I said, the potential is good. maybe you should take it on the road (if you haven't already) and get out if the studio zone. This may add that seasoning that you need to get all the juices flowing just right. keep on man! and look into some higher end recording gear...or recording methods.
A Slice of Paradise!
author: Joey BirosI can only say one thing about this CD, It sounds like a ton of watery shit flying out of my ass. I am buying this CD just to piss on it and then throw it at somebody I hate, like you! What possessed you to record such gay music? I would rather fuck a dead dog then hear this CD all the way through. Are you gay or do you just record gay music? If I were you I'd put my time to better use, like sucking a homeless guy's dick or fucking a chicken. Screw you!
Groovin' Tune

Burning Hope rules!
author: Long Time Dyin'Overall quality: Very good. A little raw, but that retains the feel and everybody knows how how I crave FEEL. Nothing is so great as a musician who FEELS the music and you guys definitely FEEL. Riffs are excellent-- example: No Mortal. You open up very nicely here. Good showcase for your talent. Those notes just fly from your fingertips. Ross switches gears nicely thoughout the whole CD. Really shines on Die Free, which incidently makes a powerful statement. Dave's bass gets a little lost in the mix on this song, I'd like to hear his sound out front a little more. Very proficient bassist, provides a strong foundation. He and Ross fit well together. Favorite song: Fingers!!!! It's that BLUES THANG! It's just got it all goin' on! Songs: Lyrics are killer-- they flow well and I can understand every word. I think that a lot of your heart is in here. Be sure you nurture this part of your music. Die Free gave me goosebumps! You are doin' something right, Jason! Graphics: overall very good. The logo is great! I always enjoy band photos, even though the trends of today sort of lean away from them. The pictures are very straightforward and effective and the text is well arranged and easy to follow. Old people like me especially appreciate the larger text--LOL! Bottom line: you've got a NEW FAN!! Add me to your mailing list. Your CD is going to work tomorrow to entertain the middle-aged heavy metal maniacs known as OPTUM NURSELINE. We may be old and fat, but we know our steel. You are about to make some new friends in Dayton, OH!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! (Oops! There goes that dark side again!)
